ASTEP LEADERS NETWORK

AAC2014 Fellows_w

ASTEP believes in the transformative power of the arts. We’ve come to understand that identifying, connecting and developing young artists with the capacity to take charge in their communities is one of the most effective ways we can spread our mission and broaden our impact.

To begin to harness the connections we’ve fostered and the insight we’ve gained, ASTEP has collected its resources for young leaders in the arts, ages 16 – 25, to form one powerful community: the ASTEP Leaders Network. In 2012, we teamed up with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and now we lead interactive workshops on campuses throughout the country. Over a dozen ASTEP Student Chapters now exist in cities as diverse as Boston, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Austin, Madison, Des Moines, Oakland and Portland. Every summer, ASTEP hosts the Artist as Citizen Conference at Juilliard, a week-long leadership retreat for extraordinary young leaders. Click below and learn more about the myriad ways ASTEP can support you in the pursuit of your creative vision.
